This one is based on Nahuatl histories written by indigenous historians. In the audio book, the narrator would spell each name after it was first introduced, which was a nice acknowledgement that most readers would have no idea how to go from written to spoken and vice versa. From this position they were acutely receptive to the demands of their gods. Peter Collins and Rosa Guzman, having passed their first round of tests in ancient Mexico, are again summoned by the Plumed Serpent who flies them back in time to the first morning of the world.
